About

I was born as Maria Victoria di Donato, so naturally, I go by Vicky. I am attending OCAD University for a BFA in Creative Writing, and I completed a BA in English Literature from Ryerson University. Since birth, I have lived in four countries: Argentina, Brazil, United States, and Canada. I speak English, Spanish, and Portuguese, and only felt like that was a useful skill the first time I went to Universal Studios, aged 16.

My passions include writing, traveling, acting, gymnastics, and coaching competitive gymnasts, which is my current job. My current passion project is editing The City of Old, my YA novel set in post-apocalyptic Toronto. I take being an author seriously (as I hope you can see in my writing), and have received feedback from authors such as Jessica McDiarmid, Sarah Henstra and Aaron Tucker. I am currently looking for a literary agent interested in young adult Sci-fi dystopia. 

I have collaborated and acted in short student films, which you can find here. I have had the luck to work on shows such as The Handmaid's Tale (HULU), and the film, The Man From Toronto (2021). I do gymnastics when I can, take trampoline and stunt work classes to improve my skills, and am ready for wherever else life takes me.
